What have you been up to:

In 2014 I decided to look for work that resonated with my lifestyle. I was able to get a position in a Beautiful little Herbal shop The Mustard Seed Natural Living Center in Nottingham NH. I continued being able to support those with Lyme Disease who came to the Mustard Seed. But sadly I had to move on After 4 years to make more money.
Currently I have a great position in a critical care Hospital in Portsmouth NH. I call it my retirement job. I meet and greet patient visitors and get to chat with many families of our patients. I feel it is my calling to smile and be friendly and helpful to those with loved ones dealing with recovering from whatever brought them to the hospital. Think Stroke, amputation etc..
I still play music in my calypso band IslandTones Steel drum band. I play the Tenor Bass drums.
I no longer run a support group for Lyme Disease.
Just recently I became a Hospice Volunteer. It is very rewarding and much needed. It is a wonderful organization that brings great comfort to the patient and the family.

School Story:

I loved High School in Needham. I moved to town at the beginning of 10th grade, and although I didn't know anyone, I was able to make lots of friends. Funny story: Does anyone remember the sign at graduation was made with the hundreds of tissue flowers filling in the 1970? We spent many days after school making them. I used that great skill to teach my brownie troop and others for special occasions at my own childrens schools.
Funny story. When I moved here from VIrginia, I wanted to start a girls soccer team. Soccer was popular in the south. I was told it was too rough for girls and it was suggested I go play field hockey instead 🤪😳 . I got to play in my 20’s in an adult league and it was so much fun.
I also remember protesting the war. And sharing stories from my brother who was in VietNam at the time. He was sick with Agent Orange from being the door gunner on helicopters while they were spraying. He just passed away April 2019. He spent his adult years helping other vets from his home in Florida. I’m glad Facebook came along. I have been friends with more people from Needham than ever before. I am there as Suzanne Satya Dev (Sue Hooker). Come friend me! 🤗

Please let me know if I can do anything for our big 50th reunion! See ya on Facebook. Message me there. I rarely stop by on this site, but I’m being hounded by another classmate site that is aggressively asking us to sign up and pay $25. To join. I had to find your email with the link to find this site.
