Alan H. Seigel died unexpectedly at his home in Wells, Maine, on August 9, 2026.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1951, Alan grew up in Needham, where he attended Needham High School. He went on to manage the family business, Central Salvage, for 20 years.

Alan had an extensive knowledge of automobiles and was known for his strong technical abilities and practical expertise. In 1987, Alan moved to Maine with his wife, Jane, where they enjoyed the peace and beauty of their surroundings, their acres of land, and the proximity to the ocean.

Alan is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Jane.

He was predeceased by his brother, Mark, and his parents, Eleanor and Louis.

A private service will be held for family members.

In Alan’s memory, donations may be made to a veterans’ organization or agency of the donor’s choice.
