Karen J. Cooke of Stoughton, formerly of Needham died suddenly on December 26, 2006 at her home. She was 54 years old. Born on Boston, Karen was raised and educated in Needham. She was a graduate of Needham High School Class 1970. She attended Katherine Gibbs School and worked for New England Mutual Life Insurance Company. Karen enjoyed cooking, acting and singing and was involved in several community theater groups. Daughter of the late Harold F. and Jean A. (Tehrand) Cooke. Sister of John G. Cooke. Karen is also survived by her many friends. Visiting hours will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Avenue Needham on Friday Jan. 5th from 5-8 PM. All are welcome to attend. A graveside service will be held Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree on Saturday Jan. 6th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers donations in Karen’s name may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute 44 Binney St., Boston MA 02215 or to the animal shelter of your choice.
