In Memory

Patricia Carpenger (Heald)

Thanks to Nancy Herendeen Bonoli for sending the following about our classmate Patty Carpenger:

My heart is heavy again with the belated news of the passing of my dear friend Patty Carpenger. I am so thankful my sister and I had the opportunity to visit her and Joe at their beautiful home in Montana in late August of 2010.

SEELEY LAKE MONTANA - Patricia Ann Heald (“Nana Montana”), 65, of Seeley Lake passed away Friday, June 1. 2018. Pat was born June 26, 1952 in Boston, Mass. to Charles and Ann Carpenger. From a very early stroller walk as infants, Pat knew the man to marry. Pat let him know shortly after high school and they were happily together and married for nearly 50 years. Pat married Joseph Robert Heald April 26, 1975. Friends and family meant everything to Pat. Pat’s smile came from seeing those around her happy and thriving. If anyone needed a hand, Pat would be the first to offer help or send love. Pat enjoyed photography, working in the yard, gardening, planting flowers, riding the Harley and surrounding life with keepsakes of firefighters, horses, being Irish, New Hampshire and grandchildren. Pat will be missed intensely and is survived by many who benefited including husband Joe; sons Justin and Tim and their families; sister Charnie and brother Kevin. Pat recruited new family along the way from Needham, Mass., Deerfield, N.H. and Seeley Lake who will remember all of the great times they had. Pat’s golden retrievers will miss trips on the Ranger to the pond and all the love with which they were showered. Pat volunteered time and resources to both the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and St. Jude’s Research Hospital for Children. Donations to either organization are appreciated.

I am very sorry to hear of Patty Carpenger’s passing.  We attended St. Joseph’s School together and we lived near one another. I remember her and her brother Kevin as being very nice kids. My condolences to her family. Thank you Nancy Herendeen Bonoli for the lovely writeup abourt Patty.  Joan Gilligan Carroll
