Memories coming back now of Steve drumming in some of those high school bands. Anyone remember the names of those bands?  He was a good natured friendly guy.

Stephen Palmer holds a special place in my childhood as he was my very first friend. My earliest memories are of playing in the neighborhood …things like Davy Crockett or WWII with his father’s war souvenirs.  When Beatlemania broke out (6th grade) Stephen’s drumming ability (with his brother’s drum set) was a big hit. In 7th grade his father printed cards for our rock band "The Foremost" with Charlie Paffenbarger and John Knox. We didn't go far.   Later, he was a hard worker at Roche Bros and he bought himself an awesome bright red Chevy convertible (I’m thinking 63 Impala?).  I lost track of Stephen after high school so it was quite a shock to hear the news of his passing. RIP Stephen.

Very sad news about Steve, but glad to see so many classmates have fond memories of him. In addition to Pollard and NHS, I attended many a Sunday school class with Steve -- he was always anxious for them to be over. He will be missed!

I didn't know Steve well but as soon as I saw his photo, I remembered him clearly for his smile.  What a beautiful way to be remembered.  Rest in peace, Steve.

I remember Steven too as a happy and smiling guy but feel I know him better now through the eyes of my fellow classmates. May he rest in peace and his family take comfort in knowing he was a really good guy.

Sorry to hear about Steve. As Bob Birkett said, he was the drummer in our Junior High band The Foremost. I still have our "business card" and it brings back fond memories of our brief, but memorable, time as bandmates. My condolences and sympathies to Steve's family.

John Knox

I only hung out with Stephen a couple of times. I think it was down David Tocci's. I swear I can still see him sitting on a Roger's drum kit black with a gold.band.     Big smile ..alway's happy... Stephen will be missed!!!
