Edmund Nevirauskas

 Edmund F. Nevirauskas, 79, a lifelong resident of Brockton, died Aug. 25, 2010. A member of the U.S. Air Force during Korea, he was 1st lieutenant and was a navigator. A physics and chemistry teacher at Needham High School for 25 years, he earned a bachelors degree from Bridgewater State College. A huge sports fan, he was an avid golfer and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Edmund was the beloved husband of Louise Nevirauskas; loving father of Rod Nevirauskas of Hershey, Pa., Roy Nevirauskas (and Dianne) of Hanson and Diane Thompson (and Paul F.) of Plymouth; and a grandfather of Christy Hunter of Carver, Ashley Nevirauskas of Ohio, Zachary Thompson of Cambridge, Kayla Nevirauskas of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Andrea Thompson of Plymouth. All are welcome to calling hours Friday 4-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, funeral Saturday at 11 a.m. in Belcher Chapel at Waitt Funeral Home and burial at Melrose Cemetery
