Edmund F. Nevirauskas, 79, a lifelong resident of Brockton, died Aug. 25, 2010. A member of the U.S. Air Force during Korea, he was 1st lieutenant and was a navigator. A physics and chemistry teacher at Needham High School for 25 years, he earned a bachelors degree from Bridgewater State College. A huge sports fan, he was an avid golfer and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Edmund was the beloved husband of Louise Nevirauskas; loving father of Rod Nevirauskas of Hershey, Pa., Roy Nevirauskas (and Dianne) of Hanson and Diane Thompson (and Paul F.) of Plymouth; and a grandfather of Christy Hunter of Carver, Ashley Nevirauskas of Ohio, Zachary Thompson of Cambridge, Kayla Nevirauskas of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Andrea Thompson of Plymouth.
