Peggy Glynn (Caunter)

Margaret Mary “Peggy” (Glynn) Caunter of Tyngsborough died Sunday, April 1, 2007, at Lowell General Hospital. She was 54.

Born in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Eleanor J. (Lucas) Glynn. She attended Needham schools and was a graduate of Needham High School. She went on to graduate from St. Augustine’s College in Florida, and later received her master’s degree in social work from Washington State University.

Prior to her illness, Mrs. Caunter  was employed with Choate Emergency Services in Lowell as a licensed social worker.

She enjoyed the beach and reading. She also enjoyed her three dogs.

She leaves her husband of 12 years, William R. Caunter; a brother, Kevin Glynn and his wife, Jeanne, of North Attleborough; her cousin, Michele Smith of Annapolis, Md.; her father-in-law, Francis F. Caunter of Lowell; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Francis Caunter  and his wife, Lorraine, of Port Orange, Fla., Kevin Caunter of Lowell, Thomas Caunter and his wife, Barbara, of Lowell, Richard Caunter and his wife, Rosanne, of Lowell, Brian Caunter and his wife, Colleen, of Lowell, Carol Votour and her husband, Paul, of Satellite Beach, Fla., Cynthia Camara and her husband, David, of Pelham, N.H., Judith Pigeon and her husband, Michael, of Lowell and Ann Marie Thellen and her husband, Victor, of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral was held Wednesday, April 4, from the Fay McCabe Funeral Home in Lowell, followed by a funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Lowell.

Burial will be private.

Memorial donations may be made to Saints Medical Center’s Cancer Center, 1 Hospital Drive, Lowell, MA 01852.

Arrangements were made by funeral directors Edward I. McCabe & Son.

Oh this was so recent and so sorry to hear this. I went to school with Peggy at St. Joseph's.  Is her age correct though, 54? I am 58 and we were in the same class at St. Joseph's. I remember when Peggy's father died and going to the wake...I think she was only 9 when her dad died but I am not sure it was such a long time ago.
